During the Carnival, a masked equestrian carousel takes place, called Sartiglia, that packs in a big crowd and is linked to centuries-old traditions of the Arborens Ruling period. In Santa Giusta there is the homonymous basilica of the XVII century in Romanesque style, with Pisan influence.
In Cabras, a town placed on a swamp’s banks, there are the remains of a medieval castle called Villa Arborea, and the Our Lady of Assumption’s Church, in baroque style of the XVII century.
Cabras is also famous for the production of bottarga.
In the North of the province, near Paulilatino, there is a place called Santa Cristina, with the remains of a nuraghic village and a holy well of inestimable archaeological value.
